Although often served as an appetiser, nachos can make for a great dinner too. Be it for a football game, a family gathering or a quick and easy meal. Since nachos are a very flexible when it comes to ingredients, you can change a lot of the recipe. You can add any kind of cheesy goodness you like, any kind of sauce and adjust the recipe to however you like it!

  1. Fry the ground meat

    Add a bit of oil to the pan and fry your ground meat until no longer raw.

  2. Add in beans

    Drain your beans and cook them along with the mince for a few minutes.

  3. Add tomato paste

    Create a gap in your mince and beans mixture and add the tomato paste. Let it fry for a couple seconds and then mix it in well. 

  4. Add seasoning and water

    Add your seasoning and mix it through well. Then add the water and let it simmer until thickened. 

  5. (Optional) Add cheese

    You can either add the cheese in here now and keep it a onepot dish, or you can place it on top of the nachos in a baking tray and pop it into the oven. 


  1. Oven version

    In a baking tray, add your nachos and top it off with your meat mixture and shredded cheese. Put it in the oven at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 10 to 12 minutes, until cheese is melted. Then top off with your chopped tomatoes, sour cream and guacamole. 

  2. One dish version

    On a plate assemble your nachos. Add the nachos and top it off with the meat, beans and cheese mixture. Then add on your cold toppings and dinner is served!
